Alfonso Walker, 50, is facing charges of burglary and theft, and remains on the run.

TMZ reports that both of R. Kelly's Atlanta homes were cleaned out by burglars while the singer was on tour in New Orleans over Thanksgiving weekend. Investigators said they were able to tie the thefts to one of Kelly's associates named Alfonso Walker. Almost everything was taken. including furniture, electronics and other property.

But when contacted by police, Kelly's staff said Walker was only a part-time employee and was never told to empty out the mansions, TMZ reported.

According to the police report obtained by the local Atlanta news station, the housekeeper arrived to clean Kelly's home on Old Homestead Trail on November 27 only to find an nearly empty house. Since Walker had done work in the past for Kelly before, the men said they thought that everything was above board.

When police arrived, they blocked the truck in.

The Atlanta Police issued an arrest warrant for Walker after he failed to turn himself in Tuesday. Police believe that Walker sold the singer's possessions.

"He would also like to thank all of his fans around the world for their love and support, as well as the community for being very cooperative", the spokesperson said".
