Today, during The Game Awards, after a somewhat weird introduction by writer/director Josef Fares (gotta love it), a new trailer premiered for A Way Out, and a release date also followed - we'll be able to break out starting on March 23, 2018.
While there isn't much information available at the moment, Soulcalibur VI looks to be powered by the Unreal Engine 4.
It'll also be interesting to see whether the new sequel takes advantage of the series' reputation for great single-player content, something which more recent games have consistently failed to do. Let us know in the comments!
It will be the first Soulcalibur game to come out since Soulcalibur V in 2012, though a card-based mobile game Soulcalibur: Unbreakable Soul did come out in 2014.
This is our very first glimpse at the new addition to the franchise that started back in 1998, and will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC some time in 2018.
