Bayonetta 3 revealed exclusively for Nintendo Switch

Since this was only just announced, my guess is that the release date will be set for some time in 2019 if not late 2018.

Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime teased the announcement and debuted the trailer for the game at The Game Awards. Bayonetta 2 will be on a Switch card with a download code for Bayonetta 1 in the box. Still, what an incredible get for Nintendo as it heads into the second year of the Switch.

These are fantastic games, and we've often talked within the team about how unbelievable it'd be to have them on a portable device - that'll now happen. That's also happening and will be available at retail in North America from February 16.

Given that Bayonetta 2 never jumped from the Wii U, it's likely the game will remain a sole exclusive on Nintendo Switch. There's no release window for the newest entry in the franchise, but at least the first two games will keep you happy while you wait.
