"The accused has been arrested and a special investigation team has been set up for investigation in the case". He has committed a heinous crime and strict action will be taken against him, said Udaipur Inspector General.

The brutal nature of the man's murder, and subsequent sharing of a video depicting the incident has led to a suspension of internet services in the town of Rajsamand to prevent further proliferation of the video.

Raigar has been sent for interrogation in the matter, Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar said, adding the victim has been identified as Mohammed Bhatta Sheikh.

The mother of a 50-year-old labourer from West Bengal who was allegedly axed and burnt in Rajasthan, has demanded punishment for the accused.

The incident is said to have occurred in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district.

Police found a motorcycle, scooty, axe, bottle of petrol and a half-burnt Aadhaar card on the spot.

The accused was on run since the incident came to light.

According to police, the half-charred body was found near Rajsamand at around 1 pm on Wednesday and the deceased was identified as Mohammad Afrazul.

Who's responsible for brainwashing Shambhulal Raigar, that he's ready to kill to prevent "love jihad" and readily own up as well, victorious, confident, unapologetic? The video shows the murderer catching the victim unaware and pinning him to the ground before hacking him with a crude weapon and eventually setting him on fire.

The victim can be seen following Shanbhu in one of the videos posted online.

After the first video, another video of Shambunath had surfaced in which he admitted to committing the crime and mentioned that he will surrender. But Shambulal Regar, then attacks him repeatedly with a weapon, and screams for help are heard as the video gets increasingly hard to watch.
