"John Mayer is recovering from the emergency appendectomy he underwent yesterday and is in good spirits", Mayer's publicity team told Page Six in an email on Wednesday.

After statements from various representatives and elsewhere, John Mayer finally resurfaced on Twitter following his emergency appendectomy with a tweet thanking those who wished him well. I'm so sorry that we couldn't finish out the last few dates of the tour. Information on the new dates will be announced soon and all tickets will be honored for those performances. It remains unclear whether Mayer will be able to play those shows, though the band has yet to make a formal announcement regarding the status of either gig.

The situation has made it necessary for the Dead and Company to postpone two more shows - set for December 7 in Orlando and December 8 in Sunrise, Florida.

Dead and Company formed back in 2015.

All three shows will be rescheduled. Ticketholders can get refunds at the point of purchase.

The new update includes the status of their final two shows of their fall tour, December 7 in Orlando and December 8 in Sunrise, FL, both of which will also be postponed along with the New Orleans show yesterday.
