As reported by Variety, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will get his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star in a special ceremony being held on December 13th, 2017.

"Everyone loves Dwayne Johnson!". Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, says in a statement posted on the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce website.

"He will soon be seen in Sony's highly anticipated "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" alongside Kevin Hart and Jack Black in theaters December 20th". He reprised his iconic role as Hobbs in "The Fate of the Furious", he starred as Mitch Buchannon in "Baywatch", and before the year ends, he will play Dr. Smolder Bravestone in the much-awaited reboot "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle". Johnson recently wrapped New Line Cinema's "Rampage" set to be released April 20, 2018 as well as Legendary's "Skyscraper" set to be released in July 2018. He added, "Tequila on me". He got his breakthrough in the 2002 film - The Scorpion King - which made $165.3 million at the box office.

A former star player for the Miami Hurricanes college football team, The Rock joined the WWF in 1996 and quickly became one of the most electrifying superstars in the industry. Joe: Retaliation and Hercules. He's one of the few WWE superstars to build up a successful film career, with guys like John Cena and Batista following suit.

Johnson spent seven long years away from the wrestling ring until he returned to wrestle in the WWE briefly between the years of 2011 and 2013.
