Wade also said that he's been enjoying his role with the team and that "this is the most fun I've had in a few years, just enjoying the game". "Where I am now, it's working for me and for this team".

"This has been a very challenging and hard time for Derrick", general manager Koby Altman said. "We will continue to provide him with support and have patience as he rejoins his teammates and works his way back on to the court". Rose left the team on a self-imposed separation but returned to the Cavs on Monday to resume rehab and treatment. While we don't know for sure if he'll ever suit up for a game again, it sounds like he's back with the organization at least while he recovers from an ankle injury. However, with Thomas continuing to recover from a hip injury, Rose was thrust into the starting lineup to start the season and showed flashes of his All-Star form while dealing with the sore ankle.

In seven games this season, Rose is averaging 14.3 points, on 47 percent shooting, to go along with 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

"Everyone welcomed him back and is happy he's here", he said, according to the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram's Rick Noland. It's now possible Isaiah Thomas makes his debut before Rose returns, and the Cavs' opening-night starting point guard nearly certainly won't have the same role he did prior to his injury.

"There's still ways to get him the ball", Lue said.

All he had to do was stay healthy, as that is most likely the main concern that teams have about him.

The Cavs have won 11 straight heading into their game Monday night in Chicago. "But just hearing what he had to say and then just seeing how everyone was welcoming him back and was happy he's here".
