Shkodran Mustafi is Arsenal's only fitness concern heading into a final Europa League Group H contest against BATE Borisov other than long-term absentee Santi Cazorla, with Arsene Wenger hopeful that the centre-back will return for Sunday's (10 December) trip to Southampton.

The Gunners have managed to qualify without using a number of regular first-team players in European games.

The Germany worldwide would have been highly unlikely to feature against BATE anyway with his sole Europa League appearance in 2017-18 to date coming in the original clash with the Belarusian champions back in September.

"Not too much, because I have many players available who need competition. Some experienced players need competition so we will play quite an experienced team".

Bate, however, are still capable of snatching second place in the group so will be going all out for victory against Arsenal.

Wenger also confirmed that Jack Wilshere will start on Thursday, as has been the case in all but one Europa League game this season.

Walcott has not played for Arsenal since the 0-0 draw with Red Star Belgrade on November 2, with illness seeing him sidelined for over a fortnight of that period.

Though they lost 3-1 to arch rivals, Manchester United on Saturday, the Gunners will still be in good stead to come out on top in the tie, understandably so because prior to the weekend loss, they had gone 12 matches without defeat at the Emirates Stadium.

"You can do ice skating by just bringing your child on and making sure nothing happens to them. I don't think he did that".
