Bridge Constructor Portal will release for Windows, MacOS, Linux, and mobile devices worldwide on December 20th, with console versions to follow in early 2018.

Bridge Constructor Portal will be a completely standalone title and "fully embraces" the Portal license, with all manner of fiendish conundrums and an "exciting new game experience".

You'll need to combine your physical construction skills with your knowledge of the laws of physics and portals to overcome devious test chambers.

Bridge Constructor Portal will introduce the Portal gun, rebound barriers and other implements common to Portal and Portal 2's levels in challenging players to get from point A to point B. Three screenshots below give a better idea of what it's about.

No gameplay was seen, but presumably players will be able to place portals where they wish in the same way they're able to build bridges. It's sure to be taxing, but yet we're also betting it's going to be amusing.

Headup Games has revealed that it is bringing ClockStone's Bridge Constructor Portal to the Nintendo Switch next year. Naturally speculation turned to a possible third instalment and remasters of the first two games, released in 2007 and 2011.

Headup Games had this to say about its latest announcement.

Valve's ultra-smart, interdimensional puzzle-platformer Portal celebrated its tenth anniversary this year, and its equally intelligent sequel is somehow nearly seven years old. A single screenshot has appeared online, courtesy of Eurogamer.
