Tremors In Delhi As 5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Uttarakhand

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said the moderate intensity quake originated in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district at a depth of 30 kilometres.

Media reports said that the tremors were felt in many parts of North India, including Chandigarh and Dehradun.

Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and NCR following a moderate quake in Uttarakhand on Wednesday evening.

Natural disaster tremors in Uttarakhand reportedly lasted for more than 30 seconds. Many people took to Twitter just after they felt the quake.

According to reports, medium intensity tremours were felt in Gurgaon, Noida and adjoining areas of Delhi for almost three seconds. However, reports from other parts of the state is awaited.
