In 2015, N'Zonzi's form for Stoke City handed him a move to Sevilla, and he has starred for the Spaniards, making more than 100 appearances for the Andalusian side whilst winning the 2016 Europa League title.

Sevilla have confirmed that Steven N'Zonzi has flown to London, but not to discuss a transfer.

N'zonzi is thought to have fallen out with his manager Eduardo Berizzo, after being substituted at half-time against Liverpool in the Champions League in November. At first it was reported that he was negotiating with two interested Premier League clubs: Everton and Arsenal.

"He has travelled to London to visit his son with our permission".

"The coach pointed the finger at me [at half-time of the Liverpool game]".

Speaking to France Football, he said: "My future is clearly elsewhere than in Seville".

N'Zonzi won his first two caps for France last month and appears to be in Didier Deschamps' thinking ahead of the World Cup in Russian Federation.

"Whether in a 4-3-3, 3-5-2 or any other formation, a player must adapt to what his coach demands and I have always done it".

Though, it does not hide the matter that all is not well between N'Zonzi and Sevilla, and if the player is set to leave the Spanish outfit in the coming months then there will be plenty queueing up for his services. The club made an effort to assemble a competitive team this summer, but the departure of Monchi has changed certain things.

Steven N'Zonzi is reportedly edging ever closer to a January move to Arsenal after the player was given permission by Sevilla to travel to London.
