Lamborghini has unveiled its first SUV in a quarter of a century with this - the Urus. Urus was scheduled to become Lamborghini's first SUV and we are happy to announce that its finally available for purchase.

Urus has a 650 BHP, 4.0 litre V8 twin-turbo engine and gets 850 Nm of torque from a 4WD, eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Urus can go from 0-60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds and can reach 124 miles per hour in 12.8 seconds.

The body shape is also quite sharp, with the frameless doors displaying the sports car-inspired design and a sleek look that means good aerodynamic efficiency.

Other features on the new Urus include adaptive air suspension and active roll stabilization, plus carbon ceramic brakes. The luxury vehicle maker has said that the first deliveries of their new Urus will start in the spring of next year.

According to Lamborghini, this makes the Urus the fastest SUV in the world. Customers can also opt for a 21-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. This is why the vehicle features a center console that's packed with buttons and touchscreens.

The $200,000 utility vehicle is the Italian company's first since it halted production of the LM002 in 1993.

Inside is the premium interior you would expect, with leather upholstery adorning the sport seats in the front, rear bench and dashboard.

John Giunta, a Lamborghini dealer in Sarasota, Florida said, "Now we live in a different world". The Urus elevates the SUV to a level not previously possible, the Super SUV.

As well as the entire concept of Lamborghini making a hatchback, what's additionally heretical about the car's makeup is the engine position, which has been shifted to the front of the auto to make more room for seats and a boot. The Urus might be an SUV, but there are only four individual seats, and it appears that all passengers will ride in the lap of luxury.

The name Urus refers to a large bull which is an ancestor of domestic cattle, following Lamborghini's tradition of bovine-related names.

"A bull is always aggressive, but I would like to give us a new philosophy toward the future: A bull can be gentle", he said a year ago.
