"Starting today, we will begin featuring hundreds of artists' upcoming USA tour dates on their YouTube videos".

For now, it's live only with artists who have Ticketmaster shows in North America, but the plan is to expand this both in the US and globally going forward.

Starting today, YouTube is rolling out a new system that integrates upcoming USA tour dates right into music video landing pages via Ticketmaster's database. This quick access feature will be available under the artists' music videos on YouTube. While checking out a music video on an official artist or VEVO channel, simply scroll down below the description to see where the given artist is playing next.

As of now, the feature is only compatible with artists who have Ticketmaster shows in North America, but the company plans to eventually expand globally. "And, as part of our ongoing commitment to support artists, we'll continue to find additional ways to make meaningful fan and artist connections", YouTube said. The feature works in the standard YouTube app but not the YouTube Music app as of yet. Google says that it's rolling this feature out for a few hundred artists that use Ticketmaster for tickets at first. In most cases, the artist already shares ticket price cash with the venue, the event promoter/organizer, their agent, their label, and Ticketmaster. If concerts tickets aren't listed beneath an artist's YouTube video, it's because they aren't using Ticketmaster. It's quite likely this will also apply to music videos with claimed ownership by artists and labels long before most modern YouTube content rules were in place. The company did say back in June that it has 1.5 billion logged in viewers watching videos every single month. The deal with Ticketmaster for its global roster of concerts is YouTube's initial partnership in the ticketing space, with the partnership allowing artists to sell verified tickets to their fans.

Fans can now buy concert tickets right from their favorite artists' YouTube music videos.
