But after seeing what took place at Nissan Stadium on Sunday, you're justified in being skeptical.

Burfict was ejected for making contact with an official following a skirmish after a play...

ESPN's Adam Schefter, one of the most reliable and best-sourced National Football League reporters, posted a report on ESPN's blog Monday following Burfict's run-in with a down judge on the sideline during the Bengals-Titans game in Nashville Sunday.

Replay later showed Burfict shoving the left arm of down judge Jeff Bergman who immediately threw a flag.

Believe it or not, Vontaze Burfict does not have a whole lot of experience being ejected from games. Still, his controversial actions on the field sare well-documented, and likely will contribute to the Bengals linebacker being punished to some degree.

Burfict is subjected to a possible fine, though.
