It appears the Xbox One X is off to a strong start in the United Kingdom, outselling its closest competitor during its respective launch week. Both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 Pro sales were throttled at launch by stock shortages - an issue the Xbox One X doesn't appear to have been held back by.

When GIBiz a bit more into the sales figure of PlayStation 4 Pro, it was brought to our notice that PlayStation 4 Pro took a total of 4 Weeks to reach the figure of 80000 units.

Among the games that have been bought with the console by the British players, the list includes Call of Duty WWII, Assassin's Creed Origins, FIFA 18, Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3.

According to GfK Chart-Track's retail sales data, all four of the aforementioned games featured in the top five best-selling Xbox One games at retail last week.

Xbox One X lives up to its billing as "the world's most powerful console", impressively improving the performance of all games on the system, and able to run many that choose to support it in 4K resolution and at a smooth 60 frames per second.

In terms of games, Call of Duty: WWII was the best selling game on Xbox One X in the first week, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Origins was in second place, followed by Federation Internationale de Football Association 18, Forza 7 and Forza Horizon 3.

The new Microsoft console, for example, is very strong, more than many expected because of the high price, a sign that there is a market for high-performance "premium" consoles, even more expensive.
