Rohit Shetty's comic caper zooms past Rs 200 crore mark

The movie earned Rs 174.45 crore in the domestic market and Rs 28.72 crore in the overseas market in seven days.

Rohit Shetty's horror-comedy Golmaal Again has become the first Bollywood film of 2017 to achieve this feat.

Golmaal Again opened in theatres to staggering 30.14 crore first day collection. [Week 4] Friday 62 lakhs, Sat 1.16 cr, Sun 1.69 cr. The film has crossed the 300 crore mark worldwide and has secured a place in the top 10 Hindi grossers of all time. India biz... BLOCKBUSTER! Although, the film faced competition from Aamir Khan-Zaira Wasim starrer Secret Superstar, Golmaal Again which is helmed by director Rohit Shetty succeeded in getting the film ruling the roost at the Box Office. It's finally good news for Bollywood as this year, many big-budget films like Salman Khan's Tubelight and Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Harry Met Sejal failed miserably at the Box Office. It stars Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemu along with Tabu.

The film is now the second highest-grossing film of 2017 after Baahubali: The Conclusion, beating out Varun Dhawan's Judwaa 2. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Rohit Shetty talks about his hit-pairing with Ajay Devgn - Ajay and I never take our success for granted.
