A number of iPhone X owners have posted photos of their handsets showing a green line down either the left or right-hand side of the screen, although a few have shown it appearing nearer the middle.
On top of this, other iPhone Xusers have found that the screen suffers with a green line appearing at the side of the display. There have already been several issues with the iPhone X, and the latest issue relates to the iPhone X speaker buzzing.
The iPhone 8 suffered from an earpiece crackling problem, but this seems to be different in that it relates to high volume sounds only.
Apple says it is aware of reports of the screen becoming temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment.
It seems that the issue isn't limited to just one version of the iPhone X. Both the 64GB and 256GB versions have been affected and this is the same for both Silver and Space Grey devices. It's unclear at the moment whether or not this can be fixed with a firmware update, or if Apple will have to make some hardware changes on the iPhone X to prevent this happening with future devices. After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again.
A user on Twitter wrote: "Green line of death", with a skull emoji.
The green line doesn't appear on the display when users first turn the phone on apparently, but spontaneously shows on screen after a short period of normal usage, reports MacRumors who cited users from the US, Canada, Poland, and Australia as having experienced the glitch.
The problem was brought to Apple's notice after many iPhone X users in colder climates reported their screens becoming unresponsive as soon as they ventured out in the cold with their phones.
Separately, users have taken to Twitter and Reddit to complain about the issue.
