He's strong, he's got great physicality, he moves the ball really well.

"I watched Bakayoko the other day up front or playing further forward against Manchester United and he never done anything in that game that made me think that he's a better player than Loftus-Cheek", Wright told ITV Sport.

"Well, he's a player I've watched do that from Under-16 level", Southgate said of the Chelsea midfielder, now on loan at Crystal Palace.

"The last few games, we've shown that we play football and have played well".

The stats make for good reading as Loftus-Cheek had a 96 percent pass completion rate, completing 50 successful passes out of 52.

"He's got so many good attributes, top attributes, and that's why we put him into the team". There's been an energy about the group.

'There's so much more to come from him, but there's no point getting too carried away at this points.

Now he's added Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook and Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke to the England squad preparing to face Brazil at Wembley on Tuesday, according to The Telegraph.

"It was just a straightforward goalkeeping drill, nothing out of the ordinary and just caught his finger awkwardly", Southgate said, having confirmed England Under-21s goalkeeper Angus Gunn will join the seniors for the first time.

"We've got to be a team that are switched on because against the very best if you get the pressing wrong then they'll carve you apart".

"I think we need the stability of the three behind that at the moment, but also all of those guys at the back use the ball well". I think it's a bit of a no-brainer.

"They don't have a game and for them to be involved with a game against Brazil will be a brilliant experience for them".

"At the start of the season it was hard for us (to get going as a pair), but having Christian back will be a bonus for us", he said.
