Neymar addressed the rumours himself on Friday, insisting that he is happy and Mbappe believes the same, while also revealing how much of an influence the Brazil star has had on him since joining from Monaco in August.

Recent reports have claimed Madrid could make a sensational move for Neymar in the near future.

Neymar had been made to deny reports he has a bad relationship with Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery and team-mate Edinson Cavani in the post-match press conference following the win over Japan.

Los Blancos are "willing to pay 200 million euros to sign a star player" in 2018, or even the following summer, and Neymar is top of the list, according to Jose Felix Diaz at Marca. Maybe it was easier for him to go to PSG, instead of directly to Real Madrid.

He said, "There is nothing bothering me at my club".

'I have no problem with Cavani, I have no problem with the coach - I came to Paris with the endorsement of my coach! I'm motivated to be a player who gives everything on the pitch.

"We've been working together for a year and a half now and we've been very loyal to one another", he said. "And finally I must mention Manuel Neuer, another one of the best who takes my attention".

"I know the importance of my job and I will do everything the coach asks for, but the story is painful to me, they do not know what's going on every day and brag, I do not like the gossip, the fake articles and the stories", he continued.

Neymar has formed a close understanding with Kylian Mbappe at PSG, the teenager shining in Paris since his initial loan move from AS Monaco.

So now I beg you to stop creating stories that aren't true'.

"I want to say what I think". There is nothing bothering me at my club. "I've got a lot of respect for Neymar and I've had the pleasure of playing with him, of winning with him and, like a friend, I wish him all the best to win the Ballon d'Or".
