News 4 says the chase began Friday morning in southwest Oklahoma City, after the vehicle, a pick-up truck, was stolen.
Oklahoma City police and several other departments were in a pursuit with a suspect in a stolen vehicle Friday afternoon (Nov. 10).
News cameras caught the action as the truck cut through parking lots, squeezed through gates, and crossed double yellow lines, barely missing oncoming traffic.
At least three crashes were caused as a result of the hours-long chase, according to KOCO in Oklahoma.
Police unsuccessfully tried to place stop-strips in front of the pickup.
After leading police through acres of land, in efforts to escape, the suspect backed up into a pond. That's when someone with a gun shot out his back tire.
The chase got very tense when a police vehicle hit the pickup nearly sending it into a news van. That's when police ended it with a stun gun and led the suspect off in handcuffs.
