The NBA announced on Friday that Chicago has been selected as the host for NBA All-Star 2020.

Attending the Friday announcement are NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Bulls President Michael Reinsdorf, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and 27th Ward Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr., among others.

This will be the first time the All-Star festivities will take place at the United Center. "We look forward to being here". Bulls star Michael Jordan was named the MVP of the game after scoring 40 points. It is my pleasure to be part of the National Basketball Association at a time when the All-Star Game and the surrounding festivities are coming back to town. In 1973 and 1988, the games were played at the Chicago Stadium. Chicago will be the center of the basketball universe come Winter of 2020. "Now, it's a campus", he said.
