With the new reality, heroes and villains have swapped places, while characters like Aquaman and Wonder Woman have become competing warlords and Batman's father Thomas Wayne takes on a very different version of The Dark Knight.
Batman V Superman famously wrapped up with the iconic character meeting his end, although it's been a poorly kept secret that Cavill is starring in the new DC caper. You root for them to come together and a part of that is we all genuinely like each other and had complementary personalities and skillsets as these heroes and that was just a lot of fun.
If Affleck doesn't think that he'd go past five movies, then it seems The Batman - which would be his fourth performance as Batman - could be his last, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League. When asked by Extra TV if he'll be around for five movies he offered a less than encouraging "I don't know about that...we'll see what the future holds". As a team-up film, we can certainly hope that the interaction between the group is what they focus on to really sell audiences on the dynamic.
While this is great given the upcoming cinema release of Justice League, featuring a team made up of largely these characters, as far as the comics are concerned this has left the team feeling as though it is lacking in some key areas.
But as the Justice League press tour begins to ramp up he doesn't sound as sure.
