Paxton Lynch is working his way back from a shoulder injury but could be ready to start soon for the Denver Broncos, according to a report.

There was a certain level of optimism with Osweiler this past weekend just because he was an alternative to Trevor Siemian, but the Broncos didn't fare much better in terms of the overall result. In a November 29, 2015 game that ended in snowstorm conditions, Osweiler completed 23 of 42 for 270 yards and a touchdown to help the Broncos defeat the Patriots, 30-24 in overtime.

Joseph said Osweiler energized the Broncos (3-5) last week even though he threw two interceptions that led to touchdowns Sunday.

The win proved vital, as it handed the Broncos the playoff tiebreaker over New England that postseason. "It felt good to our team".

The loss was the Broncos' fourth straight and their fifth in six games.

As the Broncos deal with the first four-game losing streak of the John Elway era (front-office version), they continue to have an offense that continues to fail to get it done. Philadelphia cornerback Patrick Robinson read the play the entire way, stepping in front of the pass and collecting a back-breaking interception.

Brock Osweiler of the Denver Broncos throws a pass as Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles tackles him on November 5, 2017.

However, rather than go back to Trevor Siemian - who's been pretty bad himself lately - the Broncos are rolling with Osweiler once again in Week 10 against the New England Patriots. But Joseph still believes in Osweiler enough to let him start against the Patriots.
