The new free version of the game will offer access to the Wings of Liberty single-player campaign, along with every co-op commander up through level five. Players who previously paid for "Wings of Liberty" will be able to get "Heart of the Swarm" expansion for free instead, and players who purchased an expansion previously will receive an exclusive Ghost skin and three new portraits. As such, Warcraft fans are vocal about their desire for changes in the game, in comparison to requests that Blizzard change nothing about StarCraft ahead of releasing the Remastered version.

Blizzard dropped a massive announcement during Blizzcon 2017.

If you miss getting Heart of the Swarm for free, no worries! That's right-the full competitive multiplayer experience as well as the first third of the game's single-player campaign will be completely free. "We wanted to cut through that confusion and announce that StarCraft II is free-to-play". The free version will include the full campaign, but that doesn't take long to beat. Check out the new video below which provides an overview of this free to play campaign... If you want to jump on the ranked multiplayer ladder to battle against other RTS gamers to see who can click the fastest and most accurately, you'll need to earn 10 "First Win of the Day" awards in Unranked mode first.

If you are not a StarCraft II player then this is the ideal time to give it a try.

All campaigns, including the standalone Nova Covert Ops, will be on sale on the Blizzard store. There is also a bundle for $40. There have always been premium cosmetic upgrades in StarCraft II, and that will continue to be the case.

Last year, Overwatch Assistant Game Director Aaron Keller told Ars that he didn't foresee any eventual free-to-play, DLC-driven pivot for Blizzard's popular first-person shooter. You only get the bonus if you bought one of the campaigns on or before October 31st. Starcraft II will be going free to play for everyone on 14 November; which should be closer to 15 November here in Malaysia.
