Asiya wanted to stay with them but the parents forcefully sent her back to her in-laws where she tried to take revenge by killing her husband.

However, the path she chose to escape a marriage she didn't want was not at all correct and she could have used the law to help herself instead of committing murders. The lassi was served to nearly 30 relatives, ...

Everyone from the groom's family ended up drinking or at least sipping lassi and a few hours later, all of them also ended up dying.

Bibi then allegedly poisoned a glass of milk to murder her husband.

The milk was turned into a batch of lassi, a yoghurt drink, and served to his extended family.

Among the victims, the authorities have obviously encountered the body of her new husband and 14 other members of the young man's family, writes Sky News.

According to police sources, Asiya's parents married her to Amjad against her will a month ago.

Police have arrested Bibi, her lover and her aunt, who are suspected to have a role in the incident.

"She gave that poison to her husband by mixing it in milk which Amjad (her husband) did not drink and knowing that it contains poison, she mixed it in the lassi pot".

Initially, it was claimed that a lizard had fallen into the milk, poisoning it.
