The family of the late Steve Irwin announced their return to Animal Planet Wednesday, 11 years after his death.

The Irwin family has been carrying on their patriarch's conservation work in Australia, running a zoo, a wildlife preserve, and supporting projects to try and save endangered species from all over the world. His hit Animal Planet series The Crocodile Hunter featured both the energetic Steve and his American wife Terri as co-hosts.

"Steve Irwin was a champion for all wildlife and he and Terri's excitement and enthusiasm brought viewers from around the world in touch with nature", the statement read. "Their passion for animals, love for their family, and leadership in conversation awareness left a strong legacy that continues today".

THE Irwin family are set to make a return to television after signing a deal with US TV channel Animal Planet.

Whatever the reason, we couldn't be more excited to see the Irwin family in action!

"So watch out for next year, we have wonderful new adventures coming to your television screen", Bindi adds. Both Bindi and Robert have followed in their father's footsteps, working with animals and wildlife in various capacities.

Terri, the widow of Steve Irwin, is a wildlife spokesperson and prominent conservation advocate.

Meanwhile, Robert, who was just three years old when his dad died, rocked up to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to introduce the host (and put the shits up him) with a fine collection of animals. Currently, the network's most popular series is Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet, with a new series focusing on animals at the Bronx Zoo is also doing well.
