"She's distraught over the loss of her daughter, Sherin Mathews", he explained.

Anyone with information about Sherin Mathews or her location was asked to contact the Richardson Police Department at 972-744-4800.

Sherin Mathews, 3, was reported missing on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 7, and was reported to have last been seen by her father, Wesley Mathews. If Wesley's statement to the police is to be believed, the vehicle from the Mathews' household was absent from the house, just minutes after Sherin went missing. She is not being named because she has not been charged with a crime. However, the alert was discontinued on Monday afternoon due to the lack of necessary information.

Mathews said he ordered Sherin Mathews to stand next to a tree behind the fence at their Richardson home at around 3 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest affidavit.

Kochi police is clueless as new reports emerge linking the parents of missing three-year-old Indian girl child in Texas, United States, to Ernakulam as their base. He noticed she was gone 15 minutes later but did not call police until five hours later. He has since bonded out of jail and is required to wear an ankle monitor.

"Why was the last sighting at 3 o'clock and the parents not call us until after 8 a.m".

"We are asking for residents and business owners within an area where this vehicle could have traveled within that hour to review and preserve any video possibly containing this vehicle", the police said in a release. "That's the question we want answered as well", police Sergeant Kevin Perlich told NBC5. "As far as why she was out there, how long she was out there, that's the questions we have for the parents". Kent Starr is representing the young girl's mother.

Wesley Mathews, 37, was arrested Saturday on charges of abandoning or endangering a child.

The investigators are baffled by the apparent delay in reporting the missing of the child.

According to NBC, Williams was adopted by the Mathews family from an orphanage in India nearly two years ago.

Williams is said to have developmental issues such as limited verbal communication skills. "The 3-year-old is Asian, 36" tall, weighs 22 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes. She was put outside in the middle of the night as punishment for not drinking milk. They were doing feedings throughout the day and night.
