Alongside the Nubia Z17S, the ZTE sub-brand has announced a new midrange smartphone. The phone comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. It is powered by the Snapdragon 653 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage. interestingly, a larger 3200mAh battery is present in the device and the home button doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The handset runs on the company's custom Nubia UI 5.1 on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The camera has dual-tone LED flash and 4K video recording. The ZTE Nubia Z17S has a microSD slot with up to 200GB support and Bluetooth 4.1 along with dual-band WiFi.

So as you can see the device is a ideal mixture of powerful specs and good hardware.

The camera configuration is a little different for the Z17 miniS. On the front, there are two 5-megapixel camera sensors with f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree wide-angle lens.

The Nubia Z17 miniS on the other hand sports a smaller 5.2-inch Full HD display. The device will go on sale in China from October 19 and will be available for pre-order starting from today. Much like the bigger and more powerful variant, the Nubia Z17 mini S comes in black and blue. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top and this is a LTPS TFT display. At the back, the device comes with a 13MP Monochrome Sony IMX258 sensor and a 13MP RGB sensor with OIS and f/2.2 aperture.

Apparently, the Nubia Z17S handset is offered in two variants including 6GB RAM/64GB storage model and 8GB RAM/128GB storage option priced at CNY 2,999 and CNY 3,999 respectively.

Nubia Z17S specs: Completed with a 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor paired with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor at the rear side with dual-tone LED flash and 2x optical zoom. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can not be expanded. On the software front, the Nubia Z17 miniS runs company's own Nubia 5.0 user interface, based on Google's Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

The mid-range Nubia Z17 miniS has the following dimensions: 147.5 x 71.2 x 7.6 mm and weighs 155 grams.
