Manager Zinedine Zidane is feeling he can't count on Bale for a whole season due to his injury troubles.

The same article states that Real president Florentino Perez is planning to sign two or three world-class players next summer and will sacrifice Bale in order to facilitate his ambitious transfer plans.

The Wales star is now out with a calf problem that saw him miss his country's crucial World Cup qualifiers this week.

It's not made clear in the report whether this proposed deal would take place in January or wait until the end of the season but obviously Bale would be an exciting addition if United do end up signing him.

"Should he moved to another club?"

"He has missed so many matches and despite Madrid winning so man matches and trophies, it must be hugely frustrating". If you are less than 100% physically fit, it becomes even harder.

"He is now 28 and 11 years after making his debut with me at 17, these should be the best years of his life".

El Confidencial reports Madrid are considering selling Bale who joined them in a then-world record fee from Tottenham in 2013 and has been an influential figure during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It means he is nearly certain to miss Real's upcoming games against Getafe, Tottenham, Eibar, Fuenlabrada and Girona.

Bale's calf injury kept him out of Wales' latest World Cup qualifiers, which ultimately saw them miss out on a play-off spot after a 1-0 loss to the Republic of Ireland on Monday night.
