Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has hit out at those who criticised his decision to go overseas on a day off.

Messi is still yet to sign a new deal at Barca, where he has spent his entire career, despite several claims from the club management that the renewal has taken place.

"I would love to have Leo on my team, but that seems quite complicated".

It meant the 29-year-old was ruled out of Argentina's goalless draw with Peru and must watch on as Jorge Sampaoli's side try to salvage their 2018 World Cup qualification hopes in Ecuador.

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero insists that many players go overseas on their days off in a response to those who slammed his decision to go to a concert in Amsterdam.

Aguero has rejoined Pep Guardiola's squad just 11 days after breaking a rib in a freak auto crash in Amsterdam.

He missed the 1-0 victory over Chelsea two days after the accident as well as Argentina's World Cup qualifiers.

"Then one thinks "why did I [go]", but it's hard to imagine that something like that could happen".

The Argentina worldwide has plundered seven goals in his first eight games to help fire City to the top of the table.

'I still do not know if I am going to play on Saturday.

"Tomorrow I will get into the group to see how I feel, but at training it's not the same thing as a game, I want to see if I have pain".
