With just a few weeks to go until Super Mario Odyssey hits the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo has unveiled a brand new trailer for the hotly-anticipated game, which we have for you here... For Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo is changing their strategy regarding amiibo content. This is how Odyssey starts, with Mario stranded in Cap Kingdom and meeting Cappy, his partner for the rest of the journey.

Unlike previous symbiotic game/figure relationships, Odyssey's amiibo outfits can be unlocked in the game itself. At the scheduled stops noted below, fans can visit the trailer, take the Nintendo Switch game for a spin and even snap a memorable photo with Mario and his trailer. Although that's really disturbing and creepy, it's still a solid way to play the game and it still fits into the playing style of the "Mario" games. But ultimately, 21-year-old Thomas Gonda was the first to throw his hat on a giant stone fist and punch the boss to become the new Nintendo World Champion.

Not only does the trailer set the stage for Odyssey's conflict - Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach once again and plans to marry her - but it also shows us some of the things Mario and his companion, Cappy, are capable of.

The Los Angeles kickoff event will be held at Universal CityWalk, with plenty of opportunities to play the game and take photos with Mario – the only celebrity in the city that knows how to triple jump. It's unclear from what's shown in the trailer if this mode supports Pro Controllers as well. The full schedule for Mario's cross-country adventure is listed below. Odyssey is out on Nintendo Switch on October 27th. Not only will Cappy be able to advise us through the game, but it'll be incredibly useful.

"Super Mario Odyssey" will be available on October 27 on Nintendo Switch.
