The 27-year-old star used to regularly engage with fans online, but exiled herself from social media earlier this year. A few lucky Swifties got the surprise of a lifetime when Taylor began commenting on fans' Instagram live story streams, liked photos, and EVEN slid into some DMs! The announcement comes after the release of her singles Look What You Made Me Do and Ready For It.

The blonde beauty sings: "The role you made me play / Of the fool, no, I don't like you / I don't like your ideal crime". "It's weird not to be able to hug you right now!"

"These Instagram live things are so much fun, I feel like I've discovered a new world", she wrote about the experience.

Taylor was also seen sitting in a bath of jewels during the video, which some believe could be a reference to Kim's terrifying ordeal past year when armed robbers burst into the star's hotel room in Paris, France, tied her up and put her in the bathtub while they made off with millions worth of jewels. Recently though she has taken a more cautious approach after several media controversies.

She'll kick off tour in San Jose, California for radio station 99.7 Now!'s Poptopia on December 2 and will be in Chicago for B96's Jingle Bash on December 7.

The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer came out of her self-imposed seclusion (on social media, anyway) this weekend and spent some time trying to get her fans' attention.
