The launch of the Mi MIX 2 also marks the first premium smartphone brought to India by the Chinese firm since the Xiaomi Mi 5 was released back in March of past year. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was launched in China in three variants: 6GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and finally one with 6GB RAM + 256GB on board storage.

Interestingly, this will be the first flagship device from Xiaomi after Mi 5, which was launched in India in 2016. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer will be announcing the bezel-less display flagship phone at an event set to happen in New Delhi today at 12PM. Price in India of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is likely to be similar to what we saw in China.

The Mi Mix 2 is the successor to the original Mi Mix concept smartphone. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more updates from Xiaomi's Live event and other tech updates.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will come with 4 sided curved ceramic body giving a premium feel and look.

"Mi MIX 2" features a 5.99-inch screen with 18:9 full-screen display for more viewing space and a better immersive experience. However, unlike traditional phones, Mi Mix 2 does not have a front camera on the top, but has instead moved the 5 MP sensor to the bottom.

The smartphone measures 151.8x 75.5 x7.7 mm and also incorporates a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel. It is unclear if the company will bring all the models to India, however, for understanding, the Mi MIX 2 with 64GB storage carries a price tag of RMB 3,299 (approximately Rs 32,400), while the 128GB storage model costs RMB 3,599 (approximately Rs 35,300), and 256GB storage variant is priced at RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 39,300).

On the connectivity front, the Mi Mix 2 comes with support for global LTE bands - 43 bands in total. The Mi MIX 2 also gains Bluetooth 5.0 along with a 3400mAh battery to power itself, which can be charged through a USB Type-C.

All of a sudden in September, XIAOMI has released the Mi A1 smartphone, completely devoid of proprietary software shell MIUI. The device will be a Flipkart exclusive product.
