Trending as #SaveForLater, a dedicated option to save tweets and return to them would be coming soon.
According to the product head of Twitter, Keith Coleman, the option to bookmark a tweet is in the works.
A few Twitter employees announced the upcoming feature that was piloted at the company's HackWeek, where employees brainstorm new ideas for the service.
Twitter is finally going to introduce a feature which will let you save a Tweet by bookmarking it. This new method will involve a single click to save the tweet, which lived in a tweet's "More" menu in the prototype model. Twitter's product manager Jesar Shah has also said that they are awaiting feedback from the users in designing the new feature.
Shah also revealed that users now make do by Liking or sending tweets to themselves via DM. Been a top request.
They have not provided information about when the feature might roll out - saying that the design is still likely to change.
The company is still in the process of creating the feature, and has put out a call for people to submit suggestions through the #SaveforLater hashtag. "But this could be easier", Shah said in a tweet Tuesday.
"We want to build this WITH you all! We'll be Tweeting to ask for feedback, and share our thinking as we compare designs, experiment, do research, and more", tweeted Ms Shah.
As noted by TechCrunch, Twitter users who want to follow the progress of the feature should follow Shah's account.
Though there are some other ways to save tweets but they are not so ideal and quick. That's interesting, given that building "with" user input is how Twitter used to develop features borrowed from the community.
