Said another way, the survey suggested 64% of iPhones in the next year will be either the iPhone X, iPhone 8, or 8 Plus, compared to our current model of 45%.

Today's the day that the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are in stores across the world.

Only those who placed orders and made successful reservations online last week were able to collect an iPhone 8 handset in an Apple store on Friday, according to an Apple staff, adding that all other new products including the new Apple Watch, could be bought in the store right away. We will be making our annual pilgrimage to a handful of Apple retail stores to count lines and more importantly, survey people regarding their intended purchases. But the usual excitement is expected to be muted this year, with many customers choosing to wait until November to upgrade to the more expensive iPhone X.

The i-Lite plan also provides 100 minutes of calls and 500 SMS; i-Lite+ provides 200 minutes and 1,000 SMS; i-Reg includes 300 minutes and 1,200 SMS; i-Reg+ provides 400 minutes and 1,500 SMS; i-Max allows 800 minutes and 2,000 SMS; and i-Max+ includes unlimited calls and 5,000 SMS. The top range iPhone X will become available next month, at 8,388 yuan (US$1,272).

M1 has yet to reveal its iPhone X pricing.

Apple CEO Tim Cook speaks about the new iPhone 8 during a media event at Apple's new headquarters in Cupertino, California. Well, the iPhone 8 is not just Apple's latest offering, it has also been billed as subsequently more appealing than the soon-to-launch Apple iPhone X due to its much lower price.

Released 10 years after the first iPhone, the iPhone X is being marketed as the future of the product line.

If you'd prefer to pick up the phones SIM-free, the iPhone 8 is priced £699 for the 64GB edition. We've picked out what we consider to be among the best deals for our iPhone 8 buyer's guide.
