Apple has confirmed the shipping of the smartphones starting September 29. The iPhone 8 64GB will cost $699, while iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799 for 64GB.

Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were announced alongside the iPhone X, Watch Series 3 and a new 4K Apple TV at the company's event in September 12. The 64GB iPhone 8 Plus will also come with an EMI option starting Rs 2,495 per month, while the 256GB version will start from 2,940 per month. It features richer colours thanks to a new technology called OLED that other vendors such as Samsung are also rolling out.

Today's the day that T-Mobile began taking pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 3, the first Apple Watch with built-in LTE connectivity. It packs significantly more power than the previous A10 Fusion processor and, for the first time, leverages a beefier GPU of Apple's own design. It's also the only new iPhone with an HDR display with 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Both devices featured with wireless charging, and come with 64GB and 256GB. And while both the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are slightly better than their predecessors, you might be interested in picking up one of the phones before the festive seasons kicks off.

The iPhone X was unveiled last September 12 alongside two other smartphones - the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 8 Plus has Portrait Mode and Portrait Lighting but only on the rear camera-not the front facing one. Its schedule is a bit late compared to the iPhone 8 devices, but Apple promised that it would be worth the wait and money. The company's confident that altogether the new framework won't just ensure speedy performance but also future-proof both the 8 and 8 Plus with skills in emerging disciplines like augmented reality. The iPhone 8 has an improved 12MP camera with larger sensor, enabling faster autofocus in low light. The cameras of iPhone 8 is capable of shooting 1080p videos in 240 frames per second.

Select Vodafone iPhone 8 and 8 Plus deals include an extra 10GB of data on top, which really sweetens the pot.

Apple did not respond to an email asking if it's willing to share in iPhone financing costs.

Of the three new iPhones, only the iPhone X has the ability for High Dynamic Range with Dolby Vision playback.
