He will be inaugurating Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat on the river Narmada's Kevadi today on the occasion of his birthday.

PM Modi will be dedicating to the nation the Sardar Sarovar Dam at Kevadia and open the 30 installed gates that were closed on the directions of the Narmada Control Authority on June 17, 2017.As the height of the dam was recently increased to 138.68 metres, the usable storage has increased to 4.73 Million Acre Feet (MAF) which would help the neighbouring states apart from Gujarat itself.
