The Gunners began the campaign in disappointing fashion with two defeats from their opening three matches - including a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool - but they have since bounced back with consecutive wins over Bournemouth and Koln, the latter of which came in the Europa League.

Sanchez is also missing from the starting XI for Sunday's match, but is among Arsene Wenger's seven subs. We did exactly what I expected them to.

However, Arsenal's chief creative force missed training on Saturday and is now set to sit out the huge clash at Stamford Bridge with what has been described as a "muscle" injury. They kept all the players from last season.

Wenger last tasted victory on the road against one of the big boys almost 1000 days ago when they saw off Manchester City 2-0 in 2015.

"He's symbolic of the way Arsenal have played today - much more disciplined and sensible. I think it's very hard to see him before the global break (early in October)", Conte on Friday told a press conference ahead of Sunday's English Premier League (EPL) match against Arsenal.

"When you are a football player there's only one thing that matters and that's the next game and how you respond, and that's what we did". Opta Stats Arsenal have lost their last five away Premier League games versus Chelsea, their joint-longest away losing run in the competition against a single opponent.

"I have to see how he [Sanchez] recovers from [facing Cologne] and decide afterwards with all the players available. Then I'll try to make the best decision for the Arsenal game".
