As you may recall, thatgamecompany is known for Flow, Flower, and Journey. Sky is headed to iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV soon.

Thatgamecompany has revealed its next project in the form of Sky, a new experience coming to Apple devices later this year. After the release of Journey, so many fans wrote to tell us how much they enjoyed playing the game with their spouse, children, or loved ones, and asked if we could create a game where they could play together. Thus, launching on Apple products make more sense, but they haven't ruled a console release in the future either. The objective according to Chen is "to bring the light where it's needed the most". Players will fly above the clouds in social groups, travelling to "Dark Temples" and bringing light to these risky corners of its world in order to summon magical creatures.

Based on the little Chen said during Apple's September 12 presentation, the game supports up to eight players and can be played with just one finger. Sky was revealed for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV during the tech giant's big briefing earlier today - and it sounds like it won't be launching anywhere else for the foreseeable future. People have been waiting 5 years for Thatgamecompany to announce their next game, and I don't think anybody would have expected that time to come during an Apple TV segment during an Apple event.
