Thwaites will star at the center of the new series as a young, the vigilante who becomes the galvanizing force that brings the Titans together.

Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe.

Grayson has been portrayed by Chris O'Donnell in 1997's Batman & Robin and on TV by Burt Ward. He was taken under Bruce Wayne's wing after his parents were murdered. But after years as part of the Dynamic Duo, Dick struggled to find his place outside the Dark Knight's shadow. "Brenton has the emotional depth, heart, danger and physical presence of Batman's former protege and the Titans' future leader".

'We're extremely lucky he's chosen to bring his talents to this project and this character, ' he added about the Australian heartthrob.

The 28-year-old was cast in the lead for the upcoming live action drama, Titans, which is will be released on a DC brand direct-to-audience streaming service. DC Entertainment teams up with Warner Brothers TV to branch out into the digital world.

DC Comics and Greg Berlanti have found their Dick Grayson. He joins fellow cast members Anna Diop (Starfire) and Teagan Croft (Raven).

It would be very, very interesting to see Dick working through the process of discovering what kind of hero he wants to be immediately after leaving the Batcave behind in solo pursuit of his destiny.

Titans was originally planned for cable network TNT but was dropped by its slate early past year. It has't got a release date, but it is expected to kick off production in September in Atlanta, Georgia. The 2017-2018 television season is going to be one of the biggest seasons of all time for comic book adaptations for both DC and Marvel.
