The Frenchman came off the bench to score a dramatic victor as the Gunners beat plucky Leicester 4-3 at the Emirates.

Vardy's second goal, a towering header from a corner-kick, looked to have won it for the Foxes until the sensational finale that saw the game swing in Arsenal's favour.

Groans could be heard around the Emirates soon after when Okazaki glanced a header wide, but those groans turned into cheers on the brink of half time as Welbeck rolled home after being picked out by Kolasinac alongside him.

Granit Xhaka's casual pass to Ramsey was masterfully flicked past Schmiechel - two minutes later, the attacker Olivier Giroud, who came in the 67th minute, scored the winning goal, lifting the Gunners to glory. Both teams played fantastic and poorly throughout the 90 minutes, but Arsenal found just a bit more late, and an Olivier Giroud goal gave the Gunners all 3 points.

Oh Premier League football, we've missed you very much. "Obviously we can build on it from there".

"So we conceded two goals from corner, we were quite good last season on corners".

"That's what we're aiming to do", he added.

Craig Shakespeare's side boasted numerous players, and characteristics, that saw them shock the world to win the title in 2015/16.

Lacazette's opener was immediately cancelled out by Shinji Okazaki for the Leicester, netting after some poor defending and goalkeeping at the back. We can't wait to see where the league goes from here.

Wenger, facing huge pressure for going over a dozen years without winning the league, used some ballsy tactics, starting one center back (Rob Holding) in a 3-4-3 formation.

"It was a great game for the fans to watch but it is disappointing for ourselves", he told LCFC TV. At one stage I opened the door for him to go as I knew I had many strikers, and in the end he chose to stay.

We started really well, we got the first goal and I thought it was the moment where we could control the game but then we made mistakes and they punished us.

But Wenger said there was now no chance of Giroud leaving before the transfer deadline closes later this month after the player had resolved to fight for his place in the first team at the Emirates Stadium.
