Pep Guardiola Looking To Add To His Manchester City Squad

"In the next few years City will buy one, two, maybe three players".

"So although it will be hard to get a point or three against Manchester City, it´s not impossible".

Sane's former Schalke team-mates Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Sead Kolasinac have moved to the Premier League this season, joining Stoke City and Arsenal respectively, and the winger believes he could one day return to the Bundesliga club.

"I hope both of us can help the team and I'm sure both of us are going to be ready to play". We are strong defensively and I predict 1-1.

"If we do something good this season it's because we were together last season, and we know better, and I know better, and they know me better, and that's why it's easy".

"For us there are some great examples of teams that have gone up and stayed up".

"Like every club that´s promoted to the Premier League, it´s to finish 17th or higher".

Speaking on his chances in the upcoming PL, the ex Bayern Munchen boss said; "Last season at my first press conference we were favourites, so nothing has changed". "That is the top (and only) priority, and the club will do all it can to achieve that".

The trip to the coast will be start to what is expected to be a season of pressure for Manchester City, as they head to the AMEX Stadium with many of people expecting the Citizens to begin their title charge tonight.

"There is still 20 days left and there will be more transfers", he told reporters ahead of City's season-opener at Brighton on Saturday.

"Last season we were [favourites] too and we finished 15 points behind", Guardiola said.

"Anthony Knockaert seems to be one of Brighton´s better players". "It's the same pressure as I had last season". It will be hard for them to stay up, especially the first time around.

After under-performing last season, City are genuine title contenders, with many tipping Guardolia's outfit to lift the trophy at the end of the season on the back of some impressive-looking activity in the transfer market. I am backing him to deliver this time around, though.

Guardiola will travel to Brighton with new signings Bernardo Silva, Ederson Moraes, Kyle Walker and Danilo, although Benjamin Mendy is still working his way back to fitness after a thigh injury.

"I think if you see the team last season and this season, the four [pre-season] games we played, the fundamentals are the same", he said.
