Jose Mourinho: 'I will not cry over transfers'

The Portugal worldwide has always been touted as a top talent and played a part in his country's Euro 2016 success, but Premier League clubs have so far resisted the urge to make a bid.

West Ham United have spent big this summer, but they have been able to bring in four players with proven Premier League class.

As the Seagulls prepare to host City on Saturday afternoon, Hughton has insisted his men must ignore any gulf in financial clout, citing Burnley and Bournemouth as examples of how to carve out a Premier League niche on a budget.

Manchester United begins its league campaign on Sunday, hosting West Ham.

"And last season that didn't happen much - we were focused on the goals that our striker was scoring and when he was not scoring, the team was a little bit in trouble to win matches".

José Mourinho believes Manchester United are Premier League title contenders this season but will only succeed if other players score regularly as well as record signing Romelu Lukaku.

Brighton, who returned the top tier after a 34-year absence by finishing second in the Championship, last hosted City in a 2008 League Cup tie.

"I can just say it's luck", Hernandez said when asked about his storybook return to life in the PL.

Pep Guardiola has told Ederson Moraes to forget about his expensive price tag and enjoy being Manchester City's new No. 1.

As you know the Premier League is the main target. It's not hard this season to motivate them to that level.

March believes that the high transfer fees are a reflection of the quality in the league but says Brighton are not intimidated by bigger teams or anxious by the general consensus that they will be relegated after just one season.

Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero were played together at times last season.

"I just think Manchester City have strengthened in all the right areas where they needed to", says Matt Le Tissier.

"Europa League is not Champions League", he said.

Their summer signings have improved the team and I don't think Pep Guardiola has stopped spending yet.

"We are in a position to do quality work better than we did in the first season, so I am convinced that our second season, in terms of the quality of our team, is going to be better".

"I hope both of us can help the team and I'm sure both of us are going to be ready to play".
