During E3 2017, developer Techland announced that it would be bringing ten totally free downloadable content packs to Dying Light over the course of 12 months. Nearly two years after that, Dying Light still has a weekly average player base of 500,000.

Techland's explanation for its continued support of Dying Light is related to the sizable amount of players that continue to enjoy the survival-horror title well after its release back in 2015.

The best news of all is that every single piece of content will be absolutely free to anyone who has a copy of the game.

So to make sure that player numbers don't dwindle as well as rewarding players on their commitment to the zombie-infested world, Techland have unveiled an entire year's worth of content to come to the game over the next 12 months. The day-night cycle changes the game drastically, as enemies become more aggressive and more hard to deal with during night time. It starts with "DLC No. 0", which introduces new adversaries.

No release date for the upcoming DLC or any of the rest of the planned content was shared in the trailer, but with 500,000 people still playing Dying Light in any given week, it's safe to say the updates aren't going to be overlooked by fans.

Few modern games debut in their final forms.

The video offers a glimpse at the seriously kitted out new enemies in "DLC #0", which is "coming soon".
