WhatsApp to introduce in-app YouTube playback in iOS app

When you tap on a link, the video will show up on your screen in a small window placed on top of the conversation you're having. This In App YouTube function will let users to play videos of YouTube shared links within the Application. This may change in future (seen that, as abovementioned, the feature is still under development, so in this case all can change), supporting also iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, but don't count on it so much. WhatsApp to Introduce In App YouTube Playback for Videos Soon. Until now, app users would have had to find alternative means, like email, to send the files.

WhatsApp keep on rolling out new features on and off.

WhatsApp may soon allow you to run YouTube videos within the chat app, reports the fans site WaBetaInfo.

You can pinch on the Picture in Picture mode in order to expand it, or you can open the video in a new WhatsApp section to view it in full screen mode.

WhatsApp messages are being blocked in China

This feature is now available on iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus only.

This feature is now in process internally and is expected to be launched for people having big screens. It is unclear if it will make its way to Android and Windows phones, but considering that it is in testing stage right now, it can be assumed that it'll come to these platforms as well.
