Several months after releasing the G6 (to generally positive reviews), LG is now getting ready to launch its second high-end smartphone of 2017: the LG V30.

The invitation does not tell directly that the LG V30 will be debuting on August 31. The invitation to LG's upcoming event - seen on the left - doesn't reveal much, but it shows a V, and the silhouette of the new smartphone.

The IFA 2017 annual tech trade show that will be held in Berlin, Germany will run between September 1 to September 6 which suggests that LG would be launching the LG V30 through a pre-IFA press conference. This year, the feature is unlikely to be present on the LG V30. To recall, the major highlight of the LG V series is the secondary display, which is placed right above the primary screen. LG, for the first time, going to use an OLED display to power its smartphone. The phone is expected to be called the V30, and it'll follow the V20 as well as the V10 before that.

The leak also goes a long way to backing up rumors of a 18:9 screen with round corners, like the LG G6, but one that may have an OLED display.

Recollecting some previous reports, the smartphone will boast some improved Quad DAC and it is also reported that it might feature dual camera setups at the front and back of the device.
