"I am serious when I say that [the 76ers can reach the postseason]", said in his introductory news conference on Friday.

In the 2014 NBA Draft, Joel Embiid fell to third in light of injury concerns; while those concerns are still present, when on the court Embiid has been the best player in that draft class.

While that was being completed, the draft got off to a familiar start with the same top-four picks as past year: Philadelphia, the Lakers, Boston and Phoenix.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Markelle Fultz already has his first turnover as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.

With the Sixers finishing with a 28-54 record in the just-ended season, 19-year-old Fultz said it is now all about creating the winning habit and mind-set with the team's other cornerstones. Or rather, The Process. And his rookie contract is up at the end of next season.

"How they got a nickname and they ain't played no games together?"

In a piece on The Players' Tribune, Fultz introduced himself to the city of Philadelphia and described what he experienced over the past few months.

"What's up, Philly? You good?"

Can't really blame him, Chick-fil-A is pretty good. "Today we take The Process to another level".

But others, like Simmons, might want to ditch the nicknames altogether. Durant knows this better than anyone after he tried to get people to call him, "The Servant", so maybe he's just trying to stop the young Sixers from making the same mistake. Five of the first 10 picks were lead guards.

"It's been a while", team president Bryan Colangelo said, pointing toward championship banners hanging in the team's New Jersey complex.

Regardless of when Embiid gets paid, if healthy he will get a monster deal. Embiid played just 31 games after missing two seasons, Simmons sat out last season and Fultz obviously hasn't played yet.

The team selected the following players in the second round: forward Jonah Bolden from FMP Beograd (Serbia) with the 36th pick, guard Jawun Evans from Oklahoma State with the 39th pick, guard Sterling Brown from SMU with the 46th pick and center Mathias Lessort from Chalon-Sur-Saone (France) with the 50th pick.
