"If you start on the Xbox One S and then later decide that you want to go to the Xbox One X, all of those games are going to play better on your new console and they stay with you".

I look at Pro as more of a competitor to S than I do to Xbox One X. This is a true 4K console.

It's impossible to say whether Microsoft will be making a loss on the Xbox One X, or merely breaking even, but we do know for sure that they'll be relying on selling lots of games to turn this into a profitable venture. In 2016, Microsoft made a big deal of Virtual Reality, and while there was plenty of fanfare for the Xbox One X this year, there was no mention of virtual reality support at all, according to Redmond Pie. "It won't be as big as Xbox 360, I'll tell people that", Spencer said. The same can be said for all existing Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles and Xbox One games.

Xbox One X has been unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017, shedding its previous name as Project Scorpio.

"There are many people that come in and just want an affordable console that plays all of the games that we've shown here, plays them with great HDR support".

If that's the case, why buy the Xbox One X at all? Xbox also revealed that "Gears of War 4", "Forza Horizon 3", "Minecraft", "Resident Evil 7", "Final Fantasy 15", "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands", "Rocket League" and dozens of other popular Xbox One games will receive free updates to take full advantage of the power of Xbox One X. After all, creating a third version of a game will incur extra time and money. Microsoft ultimately picked Xbox One X because it fit with the power message and the original Xbox branding. "I would make more of a comparison to the PC space in terms of capabilities", he says.

During its E3 livestream Xbox spokesman Larry Hryb sat down with Leo Del Castillo, General Manager of Xbox Hardware, to build an Xbox One X piece by piece.

Xbox One is the only console system created to play the best games of the past, present and future.
