The former Trump campaign advisor likely gave into the committee's demand because it grilled Podesta on Tuesday.

Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign manager - appeared before the House committee on Tuesday to testify about Russian meddling in the election.

Till April 2016, just months before the USA election, enormous damage had been done to the DNC computers, Russian Federation had successfully breached two Democratic party computer systems: That of the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

News of Stone's forthcoming testimony came on the same day that Podesta testified before the House Intelligence Committee. Stone insisted he was referring to Podesta's business dealings.

Podesta did not respond to a request for comment later, according to the report. Stone said. "Roger looks forward to using his time in front of the committee to set the record straight and providing a timeline based only on fact that will clearly establish that those on the committee who have misrepresented the facts regarding his involvement, did so based on false information and incorrect assumptions".

Stone has long wanted to talk to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and has been cooperating with the Senate and House intelligence committees regarding Russia, Buschel said.

"I have had no contacts or collusion with the Russians", Stone told ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos on "This Week" in March.

Mr. Podesta's personal email account and the Democratic National Committee servers were hacked in the final months of the 2016 campaign and messages subsequently published on WikiLeaks.

Stone has been mad at the former Clinton campaign chairman since Podesta accused him of having prior knowledge of the DNC leaks well before WikiLeaks began serving up Podesta's pizza orders and risotto recipe.
