If that's the case, Apple just released the first public beta of iOS 11.

In traditional Apple style, the Cupertino tech giant said iOS 11 is the biggest update yet to iOS, as it sports a number of new features created to further enhance your iPhone, including changes to Siri, Control Center, Music, and much more.

Why Shouldn't I Upgrade to iOS 11 Beta 2?

The Control Center has been completely redesigned and now users can customize it.

Those who often send photos in batches to friends and family members will appreciate this addition: To select multiple files at once in iOS 11, drag one file and then tap the others to add them to the bunch. If you would rather just wait, we've got you covered with a breakdown of the most game-changing features to whet your appetite.

It's iOS 11 Public Beta 1, according to the official release notes, and installing it changes the iPad dramatically while giving the iPhone a worthy update, too.

With the public beta program, you can download and install iOS 11 to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Of course, as with any beta, there are bound to be bugs so it's best to install the update on a secondary device unless you're feeling especially courageous (and even then, make sure you have everything backed up, at the very least). If you forget to tap on the thumbnail then iOS 11 will automatically save the screenshot to the camera roll like before. That will make the beta available as an over-the-air software update in the Settings app. Obviously, your iPhone or iPad will be cooler than all your friends' are if you're running the new software before any of them.

As with most Apple updates, some older devices unfortunately get left behind, and not all will be able to support the new software.

While you're waiting for it to download and install, you can check out our iOS 11 FAQ with all the information we know so far. The beta is available to everyone, regardless of whether or not you have a developer account and will allow you to grab an early look at the system.
